Rundale palace in Latvia

Quite a few times from fellow travelers, neighbors and relatives we hear about "the beautiful palace in Rundale, Latvia". And one day we thought so, "oh yeah, they say Rundale is nice, it would be a nice day trip". As the palace is near the border, it was an easy trip.
